Let's say you start a rumor about a guy who told another guy who heard it from another guy, that those guys want to remove the name Reagan from Reagan Airport. Let's say you make sure to include the important fact that one of the guys is a "Marion Barry confidante."
Well, if it's on an Opinion page of the Washington Examiner, it must be true!

Haven't we taken enough of this? I say enough of pretending that Democrats are Americans, that their ideas are worthy of consideration, that they are anything but enemies of America and Americans. Lets just start shooting them all and burying them in mass graves. Start at the top and work our way down and lets rid this country of the cancer of Communism (aka) Democrats once and for all. Where is Lee Harvey Oswald when we really need him? Lock and load and start killing them.

Entrepod, I guess people just don't like to look like fools by themselves, so when they make up stuff, they like to share it.
