Annie Leibovitz Takes a Picture. Free Republic's Collective Head Explodes.

So here's the problem. Beyond the Right and Left and Right and Wrong and Communists and Fascists, Annie Leibovitz's official family photo of the Obama family is beautiful and cute. And whether people on the Right hate Obama because of his fiscal policy or because his skin isn't pink enough for their liking is meaningless when confronted by this picture. Free Republic members can't keep it in, and fall into the love trap:

I love seeing how siblings can take after one or the other of their parents. My two girls look more similar to each other than Sasha and Malia do to each other. All very cute though.

It would have looked better if M was wearing something lighter in color. The black dress is too much of a contrast to the white that the other two are wearing. Evidently that's what the photog wanted.

Knowing just the very little about photography that I do, I’d say that’s a GREAT picture! Given ambient lighting, contrast, clothing - really good job.

And really, a thread about the Obama family must include a few references to Hitler and the Nazis. The first comment reacts to another commenter predicting Malia will grow up to be a beautiful woman. The second one is Just Sayin', which earns him the Comment of the Day:

...and if someone would teach her REAL history and REAL economics. Perhaps show her pics of 9/11, Auswitz, Stalin’s death camps etc. Beauty is only skin deep. I find nothing attractive about communism.

I guess a photo of Adolph and Eva romping with the Rotweilers at Beirchtesgarten was kinda cute too...just sayin’...
